RSVP will hold its quarterly training session for Volunteers on Monday, March 2nd, 9:00am – noon. This training will be hosted in the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Conference Room located at 2621 Northgate Lane, Suite 12 in Carson City and broadcast to various locations in rural Nevada. Interested parties are welcome! Dr. Deb Cash, retired professor in health and human services from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California, will lead volunteers in an interactive exercise, the Medicine Wheel. The Medicine Wheel calls on elements of the natural world which can describe four different styles of interacting with each other and our own work.
Additionally, the training will provide an overview of RSVP’s volunteer opportunities, the benefits and responsibilities of volunteering, new program opportunities, and a question and answer session.
